Weekly Bible Studies
Men's Bible Study
Men of all ages meet every Monday night at 7-8:30 in room CLC-054.
The group is currently making its way through the Gospel of Matthew. The evening begins with a time of sharing and prayer before digging into the scripture selection for the week.
This group finds study and fellowship a fulfillment for their busy lives as they study the Word of God and relate it to everyday living.
Led by Ken Knox & Clayton Easter.
Tuesday Morning Bible Study
All are welcome to gather Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am with Pastor Michelle for Bible study and fellowship in the office area room O-17.
Tuesday Morning Bible Study @ 10:00 am We will discuss The Gospel of Ruth: Loving God Enough to Break the Rules by Carolyn Custis James through July and the beginning of August. Even if you can’t be there each week, read along and join the conversation when you’re in town. The book is available from online retailers and on kindle and nook. Contact Pastor Michelle for the reading schedule. For July 10, read the book of Ruth, the introduction and chapter 1 of the study book.
September 11 we’ll kick-off the fall with the study Happy? What it is and how to find it by Matt Miofsky. What’s keeping you from being happy? Do you really have to lose weight or find a new job before you can say you’re happy? No matter how hard we try, happiness can seem elusive. Even as we reach our goals, we set new ones, making happiness always out of reach. In this study, Matt helps you discover that contentment isn’t dependent on the “things” of life. Instead, he’ll help you see that happiness can be found in the value of our relationships, a forgiving lifestyle, living in the present, feeling gratitude, and learning to release control. This four-week study uses basic theology and the words of Solomon along with the study book and in class dvd component. Sign up online or email Pastor Michelle at firstname.lastname@example.org by August 15 for Michelle to order your book. Books are $10 and it is available on kindle for $10.
