Grant Writting Workshop

Do you have a wonderful idea for furthering your church’s ministry? Do you need more funds than what your individual church can manage? Have you contemplated writing a grant, but not sure how? In this session, participants work through the process of writing a grant. At the end of the session, participants will have the bare bones of a grant and will be able to flesh it out and submit it.

3 Hour workshop offered in two parts
In Part 1, Rev. George Howle will lead a discussion of the essential work of the PPRC.
In Part 2, Rebecca Neal Tompkins, Payroll Professional, from Forest Acres Payroll, LLC, will help us navigate the ins and outs of church and clergy payroll. Do you know if your church is handling payroll properly? Do you know the difference between clergy payroll and regular employee payroll? Who is considered and employee or an independent contractor? What about those payroll taxes? What documents need to be kept and for how long?
