Our Groups

Newly Enlightened Women (N.E.W)
- N.E.W. Circle is an evening circle that meets in the homes of its members on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 pm. N.E.W. Circle is a diverse group of women ranging in age between 30+ and 50+ some being stay-at-home mothers and some being working women who provide each other with care and support as they grow in their walk with Christ. The circle focuses on Bible Study as well as local missions. The ministries of this circle include support for Pendleton Place, Salkehatchie, SUMC, SUMC Vacation Bible School, JOY boxes, UMW sponsored missions, and sponsoring college students during the school year.

Wesleyan -
Wesleyan Circle is a group of 40 yrs plus ladies that meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 10:00am. The main focus is spiritual growth for women. Wesleyan Circle uses The Response magazine and the UMW program book along with guest speakers and other interesting subjects related to church or other organizations. The Prayer Calendar is also used at each meeting. The Circle donates to UMW related projects and community projects such as Golden Strip Emergency Relief. In addition, donations have been made to the church library, VBS and The World Thank Offering. Members of the circle also enjoy the “unsecret sister” program with New Beginnings Circle. Wesleyan invites women of the church to visit the circle.

Trinity -
Trinity Circle meets at local restaurants on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm. The group is varied in age -- many have children in middle/high school and college, although a few are grandmothers! We are currently studying “Women as Slaves” and the various UMW missions. Other mission emphasis includes donations to Golden Strip Emergency Relief, Meals on Wheels, and Lapsits. We also have adopted two college students. You can find members of this circle extremely active in other activities in the church and community. Please join us for fellowship and friendship!

New Beginnings -
New Beginnings Circle is a morning circle of women that meets the last Friday of the month. The meeting begins around 9:15 am. New Beginnings strives to support the church family by meeting to discuss spiritual, parenting, and women’s concerns. Though the circle focuses on women and family related issues, other causes are supported as they are brought to the circle from caring members. These missions include Safe Harbor, Meals on Wheels, youth ministries, Let There Be Mom, Little Steps, College Student Ministry, and Golden Strip Emergency Relief. In addition to our missions, we celebrate God’s love through fellowship events as a circle (holiday socials, dinners, teas/coffees, “unsecret sister” program with Wesleyan Circle, etc.). Ages of the members range from 20 to 50. However, all women of the church are welcome and encouraged to join. New Beginnings welcomes anyone that wants to be part of an active church circle!
