Simpsonville United Methodist is a part of the coalition of churches in Habitat for Humanity in the Golden Strip. A non-profit housing ministry, the Coalition helps Golden Strip area families achieve the American dream of homeownership.
Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to strengthen our community by providing decent, affordable homes to low-income working families.
Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Homeowner families invest hundreds of hours of labor into building their homes and the homes of other partner families.
The 2010 Spring build is in Fountain Inn. Building begins April 17 through May 15 and dedication on May 16. If you are interested in participating, call the Church Office for the necessary forms needing to be completed. The request is for the forms to be to the coalition by March 21.
If you would like to make a donation to the Golden Strip Coalition of Churches, make checks payable to: Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County. Please return this form with your gift to

Glynis and Robert Webb
Recipients of GSCC’s 13th home are Greenville County natives Robert and Glynis Webb. They look forward to visits from their 11 grandchildren, who will play safely in their yard and neighborhood. Robert and Glynis have suffered financial hardships because of medical problems. Robert has survived a heart attack and a stroke. Glynis suffers from Lupus and osteoarthritis. The Webbs are delighted that their new home is within walking distance of their church, Goldenview Baptist.
