Hands Helping Homes
Each year we gather for a week to perform projects to upgrade the physical condition of homes in need.
Opening the church doors to house and feed families in the Greenville area so they can stay together.
Helping members of our congregation who need assistance with yard work, house cleaning, painting, or minor repairs.
A medical mission trip to Honduras that includes dental, optical, pharmacy, and lice removal.
Opening our doors to share a meal with our community and to remember God's blessings.
We partner with these organizations to help them fulfill their mission.

- James Monroe Mission House
Located next to Trinity United Methodist Church, 403 S Weston Street, Fountain Inn
The James Monroe Mission House is an ecumenical nonprofit organization. Its purpose is to provide food and clothing to families in need in our community. The mission house currently serves about 300 families each week and is open Mondays from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. James Monroe Mission House depends on donations. This is where SUMC fits in. There are two large bins where you can donate non-perishable food items. They are located by the Church Office and at the breezeway entrance to the Christian Life Center. SUMC collects and delivers these items weekly to JMMH.
During the summer months, there is a special emphasis to fill the bins on the 2nd Sunday of each month. This helps families with children who do not receive school lunches during the summer. Another area of need is for volunteers to be on call to bag the groceries, help with food pick-up from Harvest Hope and help carry groceries to the cars for some of the elderly and disabled.
- Trinue Mercy Center
Mission Statement: To share Christ’s love by meeting physical needs and providing life-changing opportunities to the disadvantaged.
Triune Mercy Center is a non-denominational mission church that ministers with and alongside the homeless in downtown Greenville, SC. For those ready to change their lives, the center offers help in accessing drug rehabilitation, computer training, employment and housing. They also host 12 recovery meetings each week. And for those who simply want to enjoy being part of a community, there are opportunities in visual art, music and theater.
- Salkehatchie Summer Service

- JOY BOXES AND MOMMY BAGS
An ongoing mission of our church, JOY stands for “Jesus, Orphans, and You". The Joy Boxes go to children who receive very little and this gift can make a big difference in the child’s life. The Mommy Bags contain items needed by new mothers who have little to nothing. They provide the basic necessities for babies.
