Children's Sunday School

 Children’s Sunday School begins at 10am for 2 year olds through 5th grade. Each child is invited to come, learn and share God’s love in a way that is fun and challenging. We want children to experience God’s love so they can go forth to share their faith for a lifetime. Nursery is also provided for children under 18 months during Sunday School so parents can attend.

Children 18 months through 36 months have their own Sunday School class during this time in the Toddler/Twos classroom. Children K-3 and K-4 meet in their same classroom and the “adventure” comea to them. Children in K-5 through Fifth Grade travel to a new “adventure” each week, to a teacher responsible for that activity.

Bible Adventure Zone is the name of our Children’s Sunday School, a kid-friendly, Sunday School time where children will experience a different learning activity each Sunday. Some of the “adventures” include: Art, Drama/Storytelling, Music, Video, Bible Games, Computers and Cooking and Science.

We are seeking to make the Word of God attractive and memorable to children. One Bible story is taught for one month. Adventure Guides are assigned to each grade/age as Prayer and Care Partners who provide continuity and nurture the children as they travel with the children on each new “adventure”.

Noah’s Art & How Great Thou Art! Studio - Children can use their artistic talents to manipulate the materials and express the Bible story through an art project.

A Joyful Noise & Joyful Jamming - Hook the Bible story to a song and it is rarely forgotten. Children will be able to express themselves through singing, movement and instruments.

Praise Him! Playhouse & Acts of the Apostles - Using Drama and/or Puppets, children will be able to study the Bible story, create a script, or act out the story with puppets or dramatization using costumes.

Jr. Bible Quest & Bible Quest - Children will learn where and how to find the Bible stories, Bible geography, Bible culture, and how the story fits into the larger biblical story using games and other activities.

Reel to Real Theater I & II - View biblical videos with plenty of opportunities for discussion, complete with popcorn.

Biblezone.com - Computers help children know the Bible stories by reinforcing the story with “hands-on” activities.

God’s Jr. Galley & God’s Galley (Cooking and Science) - Did you know that cooking activities and science experiments also help children understand the Bible stories?

Music Ministry opportunities for children are also available on Wednesday Evenings – 6:30 – 7:30 PM.
